How Did A Shepherd Hut Get There?

When the owners of this stunning Cornish Home decided they wanted to change their lives and move to Cornwall full time, the only thing that was missing was office space.

The only spare bit of space was up above the large extension on a small patch of ground at the bottom of a steeply sloped garden offering stunning views over the rooftop and down to the river below.

This magic spot it wasn’t without its challenges. Luckily, as we make each Shepherd hut from scratch by hand we were able to build the basic framework, windows and doors and prepare all the wood and finishings at our workshop. We completed the build on site with little disruption to the household.

And the office is certainly in use! When we visited with the camera a couple of months after installation there were zoom meetings left, right and centre, a real hive of activity. For us, it was very special to see the difference our Shepherd Huts can make to everyday life.

As working from home becomes more of a priority for many of us, huts which are conducive to working from home are certainly something we have seen a growing demand for.
