Meet Toby Giles, The New Sales Manager at Timeless Spaces
At Timeless Spaces, people have always been at the heart of what we do, creating handcrafted spaces that bring families together, support better ways of living in spaces that stand the test of time.
We sat down with Toby to learn more about his background, what drew him to Timeless, and the kinds of projects he’s most excited about helping customers create.
Tell us a little about yourself, what’s your background and how did you end up joining Timeless?
I’m Toby, a dad to a big family. Before joining Timeless, I spent 14 years working in leadership roles within comprehensive schools in Birmingham. My career has always been centred around people, relationships and creating environments where others can thrive.
Moving into Timeless felt like a change, but also a very natural next step because it’s still about building spaces that positively shape people’s lives - just in a different form.
What drew you to Timeless?
What attracted me to Timeless was the company’s honesty, family values and ruthless commitment to quality. There’s a real integrity in the way projects are approached, from the first conversation to the final handover.
I was also drawn to the idea of crafting quality environments where relationships can flourish - spaces that genuinely improve how people live and spend time together.
What do you enjoy most about working at Timeless?
The thing I’ve loved most is the commitment to customer care at every stage of the process.
From pricing projects properly so customers can plan with confidence, right through to making sure the site is swept clean at the end of the day, there’s a ferocious pride in the work. Everyone genuinely cares about delivering something exceptional.
What makes a Timeless project stand out to you?
For me, it’s the craftsmanship and longevity.
The Fenton Shepherd is probably my favourite product - it’s our flagship space and genuinely feels like something that will outlast me because of the quality that goes into it.
At the same time, one of the most memorable projects I’ve worked on so far has been helping preserve an 1800s Coast Guard lookout. It’s definitely the most incredible venue I’ve ever had the chance to work at.
You work across both Timeless Construction and Timeless Spaces, tell us about that?
I love being able to work across both sides of the business because it gives such a broad perspective on what Timeless does.
Timeless Construction focuses on larger-scale building and renovation projects, while Timeless Spaces creates beautifully crafted outdoor living environments like shepherd huts and garden rooms. Both share the same commitment to quality and attention to detail, but they each offer customers different ways to transform how they live and use space.
How does Cornwall inspire the kinds of spaces Timeless creates?
Cornwall naturally inspires simplicity, authenticity and connection to the landscape.
There’s something about the coastline, the slower pace and the beauty of the environment that makes people want spaces that feel calm, timeless and built to last. I think Timeless reflects that perfectly, combining quality craftsmanship with spaces that encourage people to slow down and enjoy where they are.
What types of projects are you most excited about helping customers create?
I’m especially excited about our garden rooms because of the impact these spaces can have on family life.
They create extra room without the disruption and dust of a full extension, they can be assembled quickly, and yet they still maintain that bespoke feel and rock-solid build quality.
Whether it’s a workspace, studio, retreat or family room, they can genuinely transform a home.
What’s your dream type of space?
Honestly, I genuinely dream of living in the Lowen Shepherd Hut overlooking the Cornish coast - somewhere simplicity and quality come together perfectly.
There’s something incredibly appealing about a space that strips life back to what matters most.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
Outside of work, most of my time revolves around family life. But when I can, you might find me with a fishing rod or on a bicycle.
What are you most looking forward to as part of the Timeless team?
I’m really looking forward to becoming part of projects that people will enjoy for decades to come.
There’s something rewarding about creating spaces that genuinely improve everyday living, and I’m excited to be part of a team that cares so deeply about doing that well.
