Off Grid Glamping Pod For The Sanctuary In Golant
On a sunny, breezy day in May
I took a trip down to Golant to visit the The Look Out at The Sanctuary and see how our Lowarth Glamping Pod had settled in to into surroundings. After walking up a track and through a field, almost the very top, I found the Lowarth Glamping Pod and Outhouse, nestled comfortably within the tree line and enjoying views right across the Fowey River.
Once I’d caught my breath, I ventured inside to see what finishing touches had been added to enable the Lowarth to become a year round glamping pod and was delighted to find that it did seem to have everything I needed for a very comfortable few days, if I decided not to go home again!
The hand made Lowarth Glamping Pod was delivered fully insulated with double glazed, hand made door and windows. It also has an additional porch area and decking. With a full size double bed, table and chairs, shelving units, camping sink, woodburning stove and all the essential glamping accessories no included, the hut still feels spacious as well as cosy and very enticing.
The compost outhouse, the building for which was also built by Timeless Spaces, is brilliantly put together with everything you need for a comfortable stay thought about. The clever compost system means there isn’t a linger smell and the signature Timeless Spaces circular window means that you aren’t plunged into darkness when you shut the door and the location of the site means there is no fear of being interrupted!
All in all it was a delightful couple of hours and I can see why people would love to have a completely off-gird holiday here.
